Dhoni was run out by an incredible Martin Guptill throw before Lockie Ferguson cleaned up the tail in the final over to clinch an 18-run win.

`It made life very difficult for the batsmen.
`Jadeja had an outstanding game, the way he played today was a great sign for his skill sets and what he can do for the team. MS had a good partnership with him.

That`s a wrap
That`s it from us today. What an extraordinary match and a result I don`t think anyone predicted yesterday let alone this morning.
Tomorrow England are in action against Australia to see who will face New Zealand at Lord`s on Sunday. Don`t miss out.
15:12
New Zealand captain Kane Williamson
`It`s been quite different to the last World Cup. A lot of heart shown by the guys. A really tough match and a great semi-final for the crowd but very pleased to be the other side of it.
`It was really tough. We had to assess the conditions quickly. Both teams thought it was going to be a lot more high-scoring than that.
`We felt 240-250 we`d be right in the game and that`s how it ended up.
`The boys were really clinical in the final stages to get us to that total.`
15:09
India captain Virat Kohli
`We thought had restricted New Zealand to a total that was quite chaseable. But the way they bwoled in the opening half an hour was the difference.
`We knew we had a good day yesterday. We had the right mindset to go in but we give credit to New Zealand, they were outstanding with the new ball.
`It made life very difficult for the batsmen.
`Jadeja had an outstanding game, the way he played today was a great sign for his skill sets and what he can do for the team. MS had a good partnership with him.
`It always feels disappointing when 45 minutes of bad cricket put you out of the tournament but New Zealand deserve it, they were far sharper.
`Our shot selection could have been better. New Zealand were braver in the crunch situations.`
15:02
Man of the Match: Matt Henry (three for 37)
`We talked about making sure we did the best we can, play the way we can and take it to them. We started well with the ball and created pressure when we could.
`We just had to ask a lot of questions. As long as we could create pressure we knew it wasn`t the easiest pitch to bat on.
`We`ve always got belief in our side. They`re world-class batsman, they`re very dangerous, we knew we would have to get them out. Thankfully we were on the right side this time.
`It`s very special, thanks to the New Zealand support.`

Another slower ball from Neesham, Chahal tries to slog, is that an edge to the keeper? The umpire has given it but he`s asked for the review. Large spike, out!

The last we see of Dhoni on the World Cup stage. Will we see him again in international cricket?
Chahal is in now to join Bhuvneshwar.
14:47
RUN OUT REVIEW
Push for two here... DIRECT HIT! GUPTILL THROWS DOWN THE STUMPS. GONE! MS Dhoni is out! He`s short of his ground, Martin Guptill hasn`t hit a thing in this tournament but what a throw that was!
14:46
48.2 overs: India 215-7 (Dhoni 49, Bhuvneshwar 0) - NEED 25 FROM 10 BALLS
Dhoni goes for it and he`s cut Ferguson`s first delivery for six over point. Extraordinary shot.
Next ball is blocked and a dot ball.
14:44
48 overs: India 209-7 (Dhoni 43, Bhuvneshwar 0) - NEED 31 FROM 12 BALLS
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the new batsman. Dhoni takes one from the last ball of the over. 31 needed from the final two overs. Dhoni will have strike.
14:42
WICKET! Jadeja c Williamson b Boult 77
Trent Boult in to bowl his final over. Short and pulled away but that`s brilliant work in the deep from Santner to prevent the four and keeps it down to two.
Driven, just one to mid off. Brilliant yorker, dug out by Jadeja for a single but Dhoni rejects the second run.
GONE! Jadeja goes for the big one but he`s mistimed it for once and Kane Williamson is under it and takes the catch. What an effort from Jadeja but he can`t see them home. 77 from 59.
14:37
47 overs: India 198-6 (Dhoni 38, Jadeja 76) - NEED 37 FROM 18 BALLS
Matt Henry into the attack. Single as Dhoni slaps to point. Jadeja flashes at one outside off stump but misses. Dot ball!
Shorter, slapped away but just one for Jadeja to backward point this time. The 200 is up.
Another one for Dhoni. Jadeja can`t find the gap but it`s another single. And another one. Great over that, five from it. Three for 37 from his 10.
14:32
46 overs: India 198-6 (Dhoni 35, Jadeja 74) - NEED 42 FROM 24 BALLS
Short, another gap found and another two runs for Jadeja. Yorker from Boult, dug out but just one.
Another single for Dhoni brings up the century partnership. Edge! Four runs through the vacant slip cordon.
Short, pulled, just one. Short again, slower ball, just a single taken. Ten from the over.
14:27
45 overs: India 188-6 (Dhoni 33, Jadeja 66) - NEED 52 FROM 30 BALLS
How are your nerves?
This is getting too close to call. Two more as Dhoni drives past the infield. Just the one off the back foot this time.
Six more to Jadeja down the ground! What a back lift, what an innings this is.
Good ball, short and wide and left by Dhoni, who probably thought it would be called a wide.
14:22
44 overs: India 178-6 (Dhoni 30, Jadeja 59) - NEED 62 FROM 36 BALLS
Two more for Jadeja into the leg side off Neesham. Slower from Neesham, Jadeja pulls and top edges and it lands just short of Taylor at fine leg. Lucky escape...
Jadeja miscues again and it lands short of Henry at long on! Neesham is furious, he wanted a dive! They get another two. Bouncer steered away for another single to square leg.
Wide! Great fielding from Taylor stops at least three.
14:17
43 overs: India 171-6 (Dhoni 29, Jadeja 54) - NEED 69 FROM 42 BALLS
Another single taken as Jadeja guides the ball down to third man for one.
India need nine-and-a-half an over and Dhoni is still leaving shots outside the off stump. He has 29 from 55 as he edges through to third man for one.
Just three from the over for India. A good one for New Zealand.
14:12
42 overs: India 168-6 (Dhoni 28, Jadeja 52)
Jimmy Neesham into the attack. Good ball outside off that Dhoni doesn`t read, swings and misses. Into the leg side off a leg cutter for one.
Neesham is taking the pace off very well here. Short and Jadeja beats the fielder at midwicket and it runs away for four.
Fifty up for Jadeja, his 11th in ODI cricket. A big celebration, the classic samurai bat celebration and a pointed one towards the balcony.
Wide down leg again, a lot of extras have been added in this innings.
72 needed from 48.
14:07
41 overs: India 159-6 (Dhoni 27, Jadeja 45)
The atmosphere has changed out there as we enter the final 10 overs. Indian belief is growing.
Mitchell Santner begins his final over. Dhoni with a very quick two. Inside edge, goes away for one.
SHOT! Jadeja dances down the wicket and deposits the spinner into the crowd. Almost a catch at midwicket but it lands short of Taylor. Santner`s done, and he looks furious with his figures of two for 34!
14:03
40 overs: India 150-6 (Dhoni 24, Jadeja 39)
Short from Ferguson, Jadeja flails at it and it comes off the glove but just evades the glove of Latham and races away for four.
Brings up the fifty partnership. Full toss, glanced away for one through midwicket. Dhoni off his pads for a single. Way down leg and it`s another wide. Two more added through midwicket. 150 up.
90 needed from 60.
13:57
39 overs: India 141-6 (Dhoni 23, Jadeja 32)
Mitch Santner continues. SHOT! Ravi Jadeja absolutely pumps Santner down the ground over long off for six. Sublime execution.
India need 99 to win from 66.
13:53
38 overs: India 131-6 (Dhoni 22, Jadeja 24)
Jadeja has picked this one from Henry, one bounce four from a drag down over midwicket. Two plays and misses outside off later in the over. It remains a very tricky pitch.
13:49
37 overs: India 126-6 (Dhoni 22, Jadeja 19)
Santner into his eighth over now. Just three from the over, spins the last one away from Dhoni as he takes a big swing outside off.
13:46
36 overs: India 123-6 (Dhoni 21, Jadeja 17)
Matt Henry is back into the attack. Nips one back and it`s beaten Dhoni all ends up but rips straight through him and over his stumps. Phew. Corker.
Bouncer, given as a wide. Under-edge as Dhoni tries to pull? No, off the pad. Stifled appeal from Latham but they won`t challenge it.
13:40
35 overs: India 119-6 (Dhoni 20, Jadeja 15)
India need 126 to win from 96 balls with four wickets remaining.
Neesham out of the attack. Santner back in for his seventh over. A little short and slapped for a single. Quick running from Jadeja, he`s electric out there and demands a second run from Dhoni who obliges. He goes through midwicket again, searching for two but it`s just one.
Much better from India this. Two experienced batsmen playing the situation and rotating the strike.
13:36
34 overs: India 114-6 (Dhoni 19, Jadeja 11)
Wide from Boult, his second in two overs. Four for Dhoni as he goes down the ground to a full delivery from Boult. Short, Jadeja hooks but just a single.
13:32
33 overs: India 106-6 (Dhoni 14, Jadeja 9)
Jimmy Neesham into the attack again. Required rate now at 8.09 an over. Jadeja skips down the track and that`s an enormous six!
Real intent and a proper connection, 87 metres! They run an overthrow as Ferguson`s shy at the stumps hits and ricochets away.
13:27
32 overs: India 97-6 (Dhoni 12, Jadeja 2)
Back comes Trent Boult. Quite the call from Williamson but these are India`s last two recognised batsmen.
A wide and then a single from Dhoni and Jadeja hooks a single to fine leg. Short, Dhoni tries to pull and it hits the toe end of the bat.
13:23
31 overs: India 94-6 (Dhoni 11, Jadeja 1)
Two for seven off six overs from Mitchell Santner. The two wickets he`s claimed have been absolute gifts caused by that incredible economy rate.
13:18
WICKET! Pandya c Williamson b Santner 32
Hardik Pandya has lost patience and has tried to batter Santner into the Pennines. Ballons it into the air and Williamson takes the catch. India are falling apart here.
13:15
30 overs: India 92-5 (Pandya 32, Dhoni 10)
Pandya cuts, fails to connect properly, just a single in front of square. Two for Dhoni with a drive that beats the infield at extra cover.
Three more into the same area, off the backfoot this time. A short arm punch, fielded by Santner on the ropes. And another single from Pandya. Seven from Neesham`s over.
13:11
29 overs: India 83-5 (Pandya 30, Dhoni 5)
Required run rate now above 7. The current rate is below 3.
Dhoni cuts behind square, two more added.
Stat on screen reminds us that India have won 47 times when Dhoni has been not out in a run chase.
He has his work cut out here. Two from the over. Five from Santner`s five, astonishing.
13:08
28 overs: India 83-5 (Pandya 30, Dhoni 3)
Lockie Ferguson into his sixth over. The squeeze is on. He and Santner are strangling the life out of the Indian batsmen right now. Dhoni is in absolutely no rush, however.
Dhoni pulls, just a single down to fine leg. Neesham at wide leg gully was there for the catch but it went straight down to ground.
Good bouncer, Pandya ducks out of the way.
13:04
27 overs: India 82-5 (Pandya 30, Dhoni 2)
The rate required now is 6.7 per over. It`s creeping up and up. Ten runs have come from the last six overs. Two from Santner`s latest.
13:01
26 overs: India 80-5 (Pandya 29, Dhoni 1)
Pandya clips two more through midwicket and then another single.
12:58
25 overs: India 77-5 (Pandya 26, Dhoni 1)
Two more added.
12:54
24 overs: India 75-5 (Pandya 25, Dhoni 1)
Fascinating footage of Virat Kohli going straight out to the balcony for a chat with coach Ravi Shashtri after Pant`s wicket. To be a fly on the wall in that dressing room. He isn`t happy at all the India captain. Pandya grabs two more with a pull through midwicket.
12:51
23 overs: India 71-5 (Pandya 22, Dhoni 0)
MS Dhoni is in. At least he doesn`t have to up the run rate too significantly. And he has enough time to play himself in. He`s exactly the man India will want to come in now.
Wicket maiden for Santner.
